November Hunting 2011

Well hunting season started off a little slow for us but it picked up finally. We went out this morning and I was spotting for my buddy Erik and we picked out this nice, big bodied 7 point buck about 125yds out. Clean shot in his sweet spot and the dude went about 20ft and dropped. Pretty exciting. Erik kept saying it was better than Christmas! Of course Bennett just had to come out and see the "puppy buck". It was pretty awesome all in all.
It was about 33 degrees this morning...perfect for hunting.

Shot with a Browning .308 pump.

Bennett and Bree watching us skin the deer.

Just having some fun! I think Erik needs therapy!

We finished up the day with this big body doe. We are really looking to pack alot of meat away this year and we are going to attempt to make jerky and sausage this year as well! We'll see how that turns out. (of course Bennett would not be left out of all of it)

Look forward to more pics to come....
